The experience
De Windmills is a selfie park at Lot 58 and 59, Kampung Teluk, near Mahsuri’s Tomb in Ulu Melaka. You come to take photos, not to hike. The ground is packed with coloured pinwheels, a giant hot-air-balloon prop, and more than a dozen spots built for a picture.
Staff will help you set the shot. There are swings, including a family bed swing, a love swing, and a hanging nest, plus wicker props and a padi-field backdrop. Dresses are for rent if you want the photo to look finished, and there is a small stop for ice cream and a cold drink when you are done posing.
The park opens at 8.30am and last entrance is around 5pm, with closing later in the afternoon. Go in the morning if you want softer light and a shorter queue. Ticket prices differ by listing, so check the current adult and child rate before you promise the family a number.
