Langkawi CARE brings tourism businesses, public agencies and the island community together to improve the visitor experience. This Langkawi App guide explains the initiative, helps you prepare useful feedback and shows you where to submit a report or check its status on the official portal.
Published by Langkawi App. The official Langkawi CARE portal receives reports and handles status checks. This guide does not collect complaints or identification details.
01 / THE INITIATIVE
What does CARE stand for?
The four CARE values describe the experience the initiative aims to support. They sit alongside five pillars that focus on the everyday visitor experience.
CClean & Comfortable
Shared spaces and visitor facilities should feel welcoming and well cared for.
AAccountable
The visitor experience is a shared responsibility, from an individual operator to the wider destination.
RReasonable & Reliable
Visitors should be able to understand what they are paying for and receive the service described.
EExcellent Experience
Thoughtful, professional service helps a good visit become a lasting memory.
The official portal names Kedah Tourism Sdn. Bhd. in its footer. It describes CARE as a joint effort involving industry, government agencies and the community.
02 / EVERYDAY EXPERIENCES
The five pillars of Langkawi CARE
These are the official pillar names. The examples below are Langkawi App’s practical guidance for describing an experience, rather than additional portal rules.
01
Care for Value
Harga Berbaloi
Clear prices and a service that matches the offer help people make confident choices. If reporting a pricing concern, distinguish the advertised price from the amount charged.
02
Care for Hospitality
Langkawi Mesra
A warm welcome includes clear information and considerate service. Describe the interaction you experienced rather than making a general judgment about an entire business.
03
Care for Cleanliness
Langkawi Bersih
Clean beaches, shared spaces and facilities matter to residents as well as visitors. A precise location and a relevant photograph can make a cleanliness report easier to understand.
04
Care for Safety
Langkawi Selamat
A tourism concern is more useful when it identifies the activity, place and circumstances. CARE is a feedback channel; a report should not be treated as a request for an immediate emergency response.
05
Care for Visitor Voice
Suara Pelancong
Feedback can explain what went well, suggest an improvement or raise a concern. Specific, balanced observations give the receiving team something practical to work with.
03 / COMPLAINTS & FEEDBACK
How to make a Langkawi CARE report
Visitors from Malaysia and overseas, as well as local residents, can share matters that happened in Langkawi. Use the official portal for the submission itself.
1
Open the official portal
Choose English or Bahasa Melayu, then select “Submit a Report” or “Hantar Aduan”. These controls open the official form on that website.
2
Choose the type, category and area
Select Complaint or Feedback, the most relevant category and the Langkawi area. The portal includes “Other / not sure” when you cannot confidently name the area. A precise location is optional.
3
Explain the experience
Describe the issue or suggestion and add relevant photos if you have them. The preparation checklist below is editorial advice, not a list of extra official requirements.
4
Review the identity option
For an identified complaint, use the name and valid IC or passport details requested by the official form. Its email field is optional and is described as the channel for a report copy and response. Enter personal details only on the official portal.
5
Save the confirmation
After sending, keep the reference number and any official confirmation or private reply link. A reference identifies the report; it does not guarantee a particular decision or outcome.
The form lists eight categories. Use the one closest to your experience. These editorial prompts can help you decide what to include; they do not promise which agency will receive a case.
Safety
Keselamatan
Describe the activity, hazard and exact place involved.
Cleanliness
Kebersihan
Identify the beach, premises or shared space and what needs attention.
Service
Perkhidmatan
Explain the service expected, the interaction and what happened.
Pricing
Harga
Separate a displayed or agreed price from the final charge; keep the receipt.
Transport
Pengangkutan
Include the journey, operator and pickup or arrival point where relevant.
Public Facilities
Kemudahan Awam
Name the facility and a nearby landmark so it can be located.
Tourism Products
Produk Pelancongan
Describe the tour, attraction or experience and the offer you booked.
Others
Lain-lain
Use a factual description when the other categories do not fit.
05 / BEFORE YOU SEND
Prepare a clear, useful report
A specific account is easier to understand than a broad complaint. Use this checklist to organise the facts before opening the official form.
Note when it happened, the business or activity involved and the specific location. A nearby landmark can help distinguish similar places.
Keep the booking details, receipt or advertised offer if they are relevant. Describe the difference between what was agreed and what happened.
Write a short factual account in time order. The portal description allows up to 2,000 characters, so put the essential facts first.
Choose up to three relevant photographs. The official FAQ lists JPG, PNG and WebP files with a maximum of 5MB per image.
Decide whether you want to make an identified complaint or deliberately choose the portal’s report-only option. Read the current conditions before sending.
A report-writing prompt
Illustrative wording only. Replace the placeholders on the official portal; this is not a real report.
On [date] at [time], I visited/booked [business or activity] at [location]. The advertised or agreed service was [details]. What happened was [specific facts in order]. I have [relevant receipt, booking information or photo]. I would like the receiving team to review [clear concern or suggestion].
06 / KNOW THE DIFFERENCE
Identified complaint or report-only?
Identified complaint
Identity details
Name matching IC/passport and a valid identification number, as requested by the official form.
Purpose
The portal says complete identity details are required for processing toward enforcement action. An outcome is not guaranteed.
Follow-up
The optional email field is offered for a copy and response. Keep the reference and any private link.
Explicit report-only option
Identity details
The form has a separate option to send without a name or identification number.
Purpose
Recorded for monitoring and statistics only, according to the portal.
Follow-up
The portal specifies no enforcement action and no reply for this option.
The portal’s FAQ and form disclaimer describe incomplete identity details differently. If you intend to send without identification, deliberately select the report-only option and read its current conditions. Do not assume an incomplete identified complaint will automatically be accepted.
07 / AFTER SUBMISSION
How to check Langkawi CARE report status
1
Have your reference ready
Use the number issued by the official portal after submission. Keep the complete number, including its letters and separators.
2
Choose Check Status
Open the official CARE website and select “Check Status” or “Semak Status”. The status control is also available in its footer. Enter your reference there, rather than on Langkawi App.
3
Keep private replies separate
A public reference lookup and a private link for viewing replies are different routes. Retain any official confirmation email and its private link; do not publish the link or share it in a public review.
Check the confirmation you saved and any email copy you requested. The public pages do not publish a reference-recovery procedure. Ask official support for guidance rather than guessing report numbers.
Status is unchanged?
The portal describes review, categorisation, consideration at the Langkawi District Tourism Action Committee and referral to the relevant agency. It does not publish a fixed response or resolution deadline. Ask official support about your own case if you need clarification.
Looking for a reply?
Check the official confirmation and private reply link, if one was provided. The explicit report-only mode states that it receives no reply.

Cara buat aduan & semak status Langkawi CARE

Simpan nombor rujukan selepas penghantaran. Untuk menyemak, buka portal rasmi, pilih “Semak Status” dan masukkan nombor rujukan. Simpan juga sebarang pautan peribadi yang diterima melalui emel untuk melihat balasan.

Who can use Langkawi CARE?
The official FAQ welcomes domestic visitors, international visitors and local residents for matters that happen in Langkawi. For an issue elsewhere, contact the relevant local authority in that location.
Can I send positive feedback or a suggestion?
Yes. The form offers Feedback as well as Complaint. Describe the experience or improvement specifically so the receiving team can understand what you mean.
Do I need an IC or passport to make a complaint?
The portal asks for a name matching an IC or passport and a valid identification number for complaints processed toward enforcement action. It also has an explicit report-only option without those details, for monitoring and statistics only, with no enforcement action or reply.
How do I check my Langkawi CARE report status?
Open the official portal, select Check Status (Semak Status), and enter the reference issued after submission. Keep any private email link separately if it was provided for viewing replies.
How long does Langkawi CARE take to respond?
No fixed response or resolution deadline was found in the public portal reviewed on 1 November 2026. Its published process describes review, categorisation, committee consideration and referral to a relevant agency. Contact official support for case-specific guidance.
What can I upload with my report?
The official FAQ permits up to three photographs in JPG, PNG or WebP format, with a maximum of 5MB per image. The description field allows up to 2,000 characters. Keep attachments relevant to the experience.
Does Langkawi App receive or manage CARE reports?
No. This page is an editorial guide published by Langkawi App. Submission, identification details, status lookups and private replies belong on the official Langkawi CARE portal.
What does the official portal say about personal information?
Its FAQ says the identification number is used for the report, is not displayed publicly and is deleted under its retention policy. The public pages reviewed did not specify a retention period. Read the current official conditions before submitting.
10 / SOURCES & CONTEXT
Official updates and source notes
This guide was checked against the public CARE pages on . Portal options can change. The official website remains the source for current submission conditions and case-specific information.
The official announcement listed PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort as the venue for the initiative’s launch. This is historical programme context, not an upcoming event listing.
The portal listed the FACS & FAME first-aid course at Goldsands Hotel Langkawi. The published date has passed; consult the official news archive for later announcements.
The two historical announcements linked above were checked alongside the public archive.
We reviewed public information and form instructions without sending a test complaint, uploading documents or accessing anyone’s report. The preparation examples are our editorial guidance.
