Eagle Square opened in 1996 as part of Langkawi’s rise as a duty-free island destination. The sculpture overlooks Kuah Jetty so ferry passengers see it on approach — a deliberate “gateway” moment for the archipelago.

LADA documents the 12-metre eagle on a star-shaped concrete deck, with landscaped terraces, fountains and open paving facing the Andaman Sea. There is no ticket gate: arrive on foot from the jetty, by taxi or with a rental car, and stay as long as the light allows.
