A Kuah cafe that has been feeding people, and hanging art, for years.
Arts Café has been on Jalan Pandak Mayah 5 since 2003, which is a long time in a town that keeps changing. You come to eat and drink, and the room happens to be a small gallery of work by local artists. It feels like a neighbourhood cafe that decided the walls should do something.
The kitchen covers local and international plates, including homemade pasta, pizza, bread, pastry, and cakes. There is coffee, juice, and smoothies, and wine and beer if you want the meal to last. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are part of the menu, not an afterthought.
They are open every day from 9.30am to 8.30pm, at No. 54. It is a good Kuah lunch, and a good late-afternoon stop when the rest of Pandak Mayah is still busy.
